Blood Pressure Monitoring
Getting to the Heart of the Matter
According to the American Heart Association nearly one third of adults in the U.S. have high blood pressure or hypertension. About one-quarter do not have their blood pressure under control even when they are on medication. Because there are no symptoms, many people are not aware that they have it. In fact, you can have high blood pressure for years without even knowing it. This is why high blood pressure has been called the “silent killer.” High blood pressure can seriously damage your body without your knowledge -- until it's too late to do much about it.
High blood pressure can lead to heart attack, stroke, congestive heart failure, vision problems and kidney failure. And, the longer a person has uncontrolled blood pressure, the greater the risk of developing these conditions. The only way to tell if you have high blood pressure is to have your blood pressure checked, and regularly.
The majority of our patients visit our office regularly, either to visit the hygienist or Dr. Share. We feel this is an excellent opportunity to provide blood pressure readings to our patients to help them determine if there is a potential for a problem. We offer this with pleasure as a complementary service.
Get your blood pressure read and live a heart-healthier life.
