Root Canal Treatment
Save Your Tooth from Extraction
Possibly the most misunderstood of all dental procedures, having a root canal is an almost painless process. When the soft, nerve tissue within a tooth becomes inflamed or infected, it can be extremely painful. A root canal (or endodontic therapy) will restore the tooth to health by removing the damaged nerve. This leaves the hard, natural tooth fully functional and useful, therein saving the tooth from extraction. Following root canal treatment, it is generally prudent to place a crown on the tooth to restore its strength and protect its longevity.
